I found yoga in the midst of my nursing training in 2015 as a way to move my body and de-stress from work. I loved the way it made me feel physically and mentally and I was totally hooked! I decided to take the plunge and become a teacher and have been teaching since 2022.
Yoga is a fantastic practice for reawakening the body and slowing down the mind. It has really changed my perception of the world and of life. It has made me feel stronger and more supple physically, mentally and spiritually. Because it has changed my life, I am convinced it can change everyone's life!
I love sharing the wisdom and teachings of yoga combined with my knowledge of mental health issues and techniques for recovery and finding good mental and physical wellbeing. I particularly enjoy sharing yoga and nervous system regulation techniques to help those struggling with stress and anxiety.
I am SO passionate about helping people to arm themselves with the skills to cope with the ebbs and flows of life, improving their wellbeing, resilience and living a life that allows them to shine bright as they are rather than feeling oppressed by their stresses.
You are already a bright shining light, sometimes you just need reminding.
Hi there! Iām Elizabeth
Outside of work and yoga, I feel most happy when I'm outdoors feeling immersed in nature doing something active like hiking up a mountain or gardening. I also love singing, crafts, travelling, and spending time with my loved ones.
My Training
I completed a 200hr Yoga Teach Training Course with Laura Green Teacher Training School (2022). I am trained in multiple styles of yoga including vinyasa, yin, restorative and chair yoga. I am a registered teacher with Yoga Teachers Together. I have also done training on the Chinese meridian lines, meditation and mantra.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (2014) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing (2017). I am an NMC Registered Mental Health Nurse working in the NHS. I currently work in a Perinatal Mental Health setting, supporting women/birthing people with complex and severe mental illness like postnatal depression, anxiety and trauma. I also work as Professional Nurse Advocate and am trained specifically in Restorative Clinical Supervision which has been proven to reduce stress and burnout and increase resilience and staff retention.
I completed a course on Yoga and the nervous system in 2023 then went on to do my Vagus Nerve Practitioner course online in 2024. I continue to take webinars and read widely on the subject of regulation of the nervous system and vagus nerve.
I completed a 60hr Thai Massage training course with Mudita School of Thai Yoga Massage (2025).
